Tasting Notes 
 
Wine temperature was about 13 ° C.
Glass for red wine Schott Zwisesel Pure Loop Cabernet.
 
Color and nuance: Cherry color, clean and bright, upper middle layer.
 
Nose:  Nose in that arise aromas of fruit red fresh such as currants and violets, black pepper notes and menthol flavors.

Flavour of the Wine: The palate is fresh and very intense, somewhat tannic and with a very strong minty aftertaste.

Overall impression :Powerful wine with personality. Fruit flavors and menthol are quite present

Elaboration  
100% Bobal variety used. Vines of plot 'La Beata' in the subarea of 'La Muela' in the municipality of Requena, old strains ensured over 80 years. Production of less than 1.5 kg per vine. Blend of several vintages (2005-10%, 2006-60% and 2007 - 30%). Aged in French oak barrels of fine grain (70% new and 30% second use). Stay in bottle 12 months before marketing.




Tasting Notes 
 
Wine temperature was about 15 ° C. Glass for red wine Spiegelau Authentics 01.
 
Color and nuance:: Color intense cherry and plum, which remain dark shades violet edges of the glass, high layer due to its high concentration.

Nose:  High aromatic intensity, continuously evolves in the glass from the first service. Persistent red fruit and black ripe aromas, presence of aromas of wild berries jam, balsamic, a freshly plucked roots, stone aromas  and Mediterranean undergrowth, is quite complex and constantly evolving.

Flavour of the Wine: The palate is dense and balanced, with a large structure, has a very mature and sweet tannin, reappear balsamic aftertaste and good doses of crystallized fruit.

Overall impression :An elegant wine, sweet, ripe, high expression of a selection of fruit from old vines and worked perfectly, its long aging and blending of different vintages, makes a delicious nectar and assembled good.

Elaboration
100% Bobal from old vines of over 80 years, productions less than 1 kg. per vine. Vintage from the second week of October. Collected in boxes of 15 Kg and directly discharged into the winery located less than 250 meters from the cellar, hopper trailer, softly squeezed and alcoholic fermentation in tanks at a temperature lower than 24 ° C., aged more than 30 months between deposit , barrels and bottle.
 
 
 
 
Tasting Notes

Wine temperature was about 17 ° C. Glass for red wine
Schott Zwisesel Pure Loop Cabernet.

Color and nuance: Dark red color with violet edges, high layer, tear quite dense and abundant bright and intense color.


Nose
:
In the nose and stopped glass we find ripe black fruit, after shaking the glass began to appear the aromas of the wood, vanilla and cinnamon highlighting also roasted and spiced aromas , forming a perfect warm and powerful fragrance.
 
Flavour of the
Wine:
Of entry has a dry but intense strike, is wide in mouth and pronounced tannins but good acidity that makes it fresh at the same time mature. Passes well by mouth and is very intense and pleasant. Strong tannins that when reaching the end of mouth are accentuated hoping that to counteract protein food. Short path but with good intensity.

Overall impression
: Intense and powerful wine very pleasant to the palate but not losing the typical race Bobal variety, a recommended wine to eat, especially foods high protein concentration like red meat and game meats.

Organize a trip to the 'Señorío de Monterruíz' this weekend, a place where, surrounded by vine and grain fields, we have the opportunity to experience the peace and quiet, very rare in the urban environment.


Eleven people we met there to spend the day with the owners of this rural resort and winery, where we visited all the facilities thereof. The animal poultry with pen, the small garden where vegetables and fruits provide that after the food is tasted, always in season, the house which has two rooms to enjoy a fewdays of tranquility and rural life and the cellar, where wines rest in clay pots and bottles that already contain part of the harvest.


Your stay here provides moments of relaxation, friendly conversation and when it comes to food, wine uncorking are going we will enjoy while serving tapas typical home Mancha (ratatouille, sausages killing, toasted bread, fried cheese, eggs in poultry ...), passes through the glasses of white Airen very little production, made ​​entirely of clay pot, a fresh wine with marked acidity and green apple and tropical aromas that whet the appetite and the diner's mouth.

With advancing tasting and appetizers, are opening the first carbonic maceration wines of Bobal, also limited edition, and the sensory blast picks up the aromas of fresh red fruit, violets and menthol very soft. While the vine shoots are attaching themselves to grill lamb chops and smells of the fire along with the flavors of Bobal Joven Selection 2010, a greasy and structured wine, fruit of a selection ends up giving an intense juice but still very soft mouth, reminding the ripe black fruit and spices very minty, ideal for enjoying these grilled steaks of branches of the year, so fragrant and this came to be enjoying the food.

PostHeaderIcon Presentation of the Association Primum Bobal

On Thursday, day 10, around midday the Instituto Tecnológico de Requena, was presented the association Primum Bobal. This is the bet of seven wineries Utiel-Requena, with common interests to defend the autochthonous variety Bobal.



Vera de Estenas, Criadores y Artesanos, Chozas Carrascal, Dominio de la Vega, Pagos del Molino, Finca Ardal and Dagón Bodegas, are the seven associated with common characteristics and special uses from variety Bobal vines on property, with distinguished terroirs, wine family type control the winemaking process from vine to the bottle, all wine producers and have as its objectives the promotion and popularization of the wines of Bobal variety of wine culture in general, their bet on the quality wine, for the promotion of tourism in the region and raise awareness of the 'brand' in international markets as a sign of quality and character.


To do this, aside from looking for partnerships as a commercial brand, have also signed partnership agreements with technology institutes and research universities such as viticulture and the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the University of Valladolid, in order to have scientific and rigorous than that in practice it is a fact and certainly in the academic progress for the benefit of the processed product, the technological applications in the field in the very variety Bobal.

 
The event was presented by Felix Martinez Roda, manager of the winery Vera de Estenas and president of the association, and with the participation of other wineries, the marketing and communication equipment and closed by the Director General of Research of the Department of Agriculture of the Generalitat Valenciana.


 After the event has offered an appetizer paired with selected wines of  Primum Bobal association in tunnel building came from the Instituto Tecnologico de Requena. After the tasting, the association has invited to a meal at the winery Dominio de la Vega, which has offered a menu typical of the area to be paired with wines Las DosCes, Ocho Cuerdas Bobal, Casa Don Angel Bobal, Arras de Bobal, Arte Mayor, Pasiego de Autor and Miquelius , exponents of the selection of wines that make up the first wine of Primum Bobal.  



A project for present and future, relating to the global wine scene, with the seal of a district and a few families from the rest by deepening commitment to making quality wines with Bobal grape variety.
